StartupBundaberg officially launched in December 2015 and is led by like-minded business and technology professionals who share the belief that innovation and technology are key elements to the region’s long-term future.
The StartupBundaberg group meets on a monthly basis, and from these meetings, ideas are born and inspiration is passed on from one entrepreneur to the next. If you'd like to join the group, find us on Facebook here.
As a means to support Bundaberg startups and entrepreneurs on their journey, a number of workshops, events and one-on-one mentoring will be facilitated under StartupBundaberg. The Bundaberg Business Enterprise Centre, with the support of Council, secured a $30,000 grant from the Queensland Government under the Queensland Startup Events and Activities Fund to help drive startup programs in the region.
Under this program, Colin Graham of Causeway Innovation has been engaged to deliver a series of workshops and one-on-one mentoring for local startups and entrepreneurs. Colin is the founding CEO of the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast where he supported startup and growth of 83 businesses mainly in tech sectors, creating over 350 jobs and helping to raise $23m investment.
